**Location: Cary, NC** (Relocation Allowance Available)


**Pay: SE II $77,000 - $85,000 depending upon qualifications**


**SE III $93,000 - $100,000 depending upon qualifications**


**SE IV $100,000 - $110,000 depending upon qualifications**


Client is seeking a Structural Engineer II to join the team. The Structural Engineering team ensures towers maintain a high level of compliance with industry standards regarding capacity. Day to day you will perform structural analyses of low to intermediate complexity for existing communication structures (including guyed, self-supporting, monopoles, and their foundations and mounts). You will partner with cross-functional team members to ensure structures meet business standards.


**Job Qualification:**

- Evaluate requests for engineering services, working in accordance with existing processes to determine the required service.

- Review tower structures, mounts, and foundations for tenant configurations; perform analyses on projects of low to intermediate complexity using hand calculations, tower analysis software and other accepted methods; generate required reports.

- Perform and review design modifications on projects of low to intermediate complexity consisting of tower reinforcement, mount reinforcement, extensions, and foundations; work with the Design team to resolve discrepancies.

- Review tower inspections of low to high complexity for all types of towers and determine the required level of remediation, if any.

- Maintain accurate system data for sales and customer service reporting, while adhering to quality control procedures.

- Provide timely and accurate support for inquiries and problems within defined areas of responsibility.

- Assist with creating new workflows, processes, and procedures. Lead projects for documentation of basic workflows and processes.

- Serve as the Engineering departments liaison to other departments; present engineering-related topics to Engineering department staff. Train and mentor new employees.


**Requirements:**

- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field required.

Engineer in training, Engineering Intern certification, or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

- Required experience includes at least one of the following:


a minimum of 2 years of communication tower design and analysis


a minimum of 4 years in construction or field engineering of steel structures


and/or a minimum of 4 years of structural engineering.

- Working knowledge of TIA/EIA-222 code and other relevant specifications preferred.

- Active member of professional organization or technical society preferred.

- Intermediate knowledge of structural analysis software, CAD software, tower structures, and design methods.

- Demonstrated focus on accuracy and a high attention to detail.

- Proficient with computer software programs, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.

- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

- Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
