**Position Title: Study Director Interventional Surgical Research**


Our client has been in existence for over 50 years with 12 global locations and 1,0000+ Associates and has a rich history of servicing clients and advancing global patient healthcare. This CRO employs experienced scientific and operational staff delivering high quality, timely service with the understanding that in product development the only constant changes. By utilizing the surgical research, pharmacology and toxicology services, product development teams can develop and conduct a full preclinical research program with one trusted partner. Company culture is very collaborative, constantly learning, and pro-employee! Now seeking a Study Director, (Interventional Surgical Research) - newly created role due to company growth! Company offers a hybrid/flexible work model environment.

**Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:**

+ Serves as the Study Director, (Large Animal/Interventional Surgical Research) for GLP and non-GLP preclinical studies and assures that all applicable GLP regulations are followed.

+ Assists in the coordination of study conduct tasks from study initiation to study completion.

+ Performs noncomplex studies and serves as the primary contact for the client, as assigned, and keeps the client informed of schedule and any unforeseen events or issues.

+ Develops and leads moderately complex study designs as needed, serves as the primary contact for the client as assigned, and keeps the client informed of schedule and any unforeseen events or issues.

+ Performs project in compliance with applicable quality system regulations (i.e., ISO, GMP, GLP) and Company SOPs.

+ Knows and understands the Animal Welfare Requirements and serves as Principal Investigator, when applicable.

+ Evaluates, analyzes and interprets data and presents in a clear, well-organized, scientifically sound report.

+ Assures that all data including unanticipated responses are accurately recorded, verified and organized.

+ Prepares protocol submissions for IACUC review and responds to committee comments/questions as necessary.

+ Interacts as needed with clients, auditors, inspectors, subcontractors, consultants, and other individuals or departments. **Education/Experience Requirements:**

+ Legally authorized to work in the job posting Country.

+ Minimum of a bachelors degree in a scientific discipline required. Masters degree/PhD with a minimum of one year of relevant laboratory experience.

+ Two (2) years related laboratory experience.

+ Ability to evaluate, analyze, and interpret study data and presents in a clear, well-organized, scientifically sound report.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced customer centric environment
