Kelly Professional & Industrial is looking for **Temporary Summer Outside Research Workers** to work at a global Agri-Science client in **Johnston, IA** . **Critical skills:**
Must be detail orientated
Communicate effectively with supervisor
Ability to follow standard operating procedures
Ability to follow safety procedures
**Other preferred skills:**
Display a competency to perform accurate work in a repetitive motion environment
**Duties & Responsibilities (may include any or all of the following):**
Pollinating
Research Plot Maintenance (Hoeing, Counting, Staking)
Disease Inoculation and/or Insect Infestation
Discarding Seed
Plant Tagging
Leaf/Plant Sampling
Irrigation Setup and Tear Down
Field Data Collection
General Housekeeping
**Expectations of employment:**
Able to complete repetitive tasks for long periods of time
Be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude
Must be 16 years or older
Willingness to travel not required for most jobs
Willingness to work more than 8 hours a day (part of your day will be spend traveling to offsite locations)
Willingness to work 7 days a week during peak work times
Have schedule availability (Must be able to work from early morning until the evening)
Ability to work around soybeans, corn, pollen, and dust for long periods of time
Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
Work well with team members
Ability to walk/stand/crouch for several hours at a time
Need to be able and willing to walk on uneven ground
Need to be able to work at different height levels (overhead and ground level)
Workers are expected to be on time when scheduled
Must have a reliable means to work
Employees will be asked to make/receive personal phone calls during their breaks unless its an emergency
Workers are expected to meet minimum performance standards.
If required to drive, worker needs to have valid drivers license, have clean driving record, & be willing to submit to any necessary requirements.
Workers will follow all defined COVID protocols if applicable
This assignment is not a temp-to-hire position.
$15.00/hr
