**Supply Chain Manager ( Processes and Systems)**



**WORK LOCATION: Waltham MA**



**DURATION: 6 Months**



**JOB DESCRIPTION:**



**Position Summary**



Responsible for identifying, initiating, implementing, and managing programs to create and enhance processes and technology within distribution operations, as well as for coordinating synergies and changes among other corporate departments. Directly involved in key departmental initiatives and has primary responsibility for developing the majority of all standard operating procedures related to distribution operations, including, but not limited to those resulting from Lean Leader projects, quality and regulatory requirements at the national, state, and/or local level, as well as the implementation of new technologies, and multi-department initiatives. Provides initial and refresher training to a variety of constituencies to ensure the highest possible system productivity..



**Duties/Activities:**



**Customer Service**




+ Responsible for driving the Client culture through values and customer service standards.

+ Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers.

+ Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.

+ Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve, and follow-up regarding customer service issues in a timely manner.



**Responsibilies:**




+ Directs all process and technology initiatives and enhancements within RTG Distribution Operations.

+ Develops, manages, and provides effective training for processes, procedures, and warehouse management systems.

+ Writes, in conjunction with DC Managers and Supervisors, and reviews standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to process and warehouse/transportation management systems for distribution operations.

+ Acts as a key point of contact for Compliance Wire (SOP Training) for Supply Chain.

+ Investigates process deviations and warehouse/transportation management systems performance, taking the appropriate corrective actions, and escalating to senior management as necessary.

+ Identifies and develops training programs to improve distribution operation efficiencies and reduce non-conformance with company, federal, state, and local regulations.

+ Works closely with, and makes recommendations to, senior RTG Supply Chain management, RTG distribution center management, Business Systems Group, Materials Management, Quality / Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service, Finance, Information Technology and 3rd party affiliates, regarding identified issues and decisions related to the RTG Distribution Operations processes and warehouse management systems programs.

+ Conducts facility process and warehouse/transportation management systems audits/inspections and provides recommendations for corrective actions as needed.

+ Designs and implements the necessary communication strategies to improve employee awareness and knowledge of warehouse management systems processes across all RTG Distribution Operations departments.

+ Develops and publishes detailed training materials in support of process and warehouse management systems programs.

+ Addresses identified nonconformance issues as appropriate, making recommendations to senior management as required.

+ Compiles, analyzes, and interprets statistical data generating reports as necessary.

+ Maintains administrative control of records related to processes and warehouse management technologies.

+ Other duties as assigned



**Education**



Bachelors degree required, preferably in Operations or Logistics



Technology/IT coursework helpful



**Experience and Required Skills:**




+ 6-8 years of operations experience (distribution, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, business systems, engineering) with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity

+ Experience with direct process and/or warehouse management technology/systems

+ Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP system), process improvement, and quality systems required

+ Proficient in the use of computers and related software Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)

+ Operational knowledge of supply chain processes and systems and their impact on other functional departments

+ Ability to influence staff/employees who are not direct reports

+ Good communication skills both verbal and written. Training skills

+ Experience with problem resolution, investigation, and root-cause analysis

+ Project management experience a plus
