Description **Supply Chain Planner in Minneapolis, MN for 5-6 months**

**Job Description:**


+ Implements short and medium term supply chain strategies that address product availability, capacity issues, and production location decisions in support of inventory management and business growth.
+ Supports business execution of on-going and new production, that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, phase out, material constraints, last time buys/builds and network redesigns.
+ Monitors key performance indicators, supports cost down targets, and coordinates with cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
+ Plans, schedules and purchases finished goods to support inventory requirements for the business.
+ Work closely with contract manufacturing suppliers, OEMs and distribution centers to ensure product availability.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Accountable for product availability, inventory management and global distribution network
+ Build relationships with contract manufacturers and OEMs to ensure client sites business needs are met.
+ Ability to integrate production capabilities and delivery calendars into supply/inventory plans using multiple methodologies
+ Participate in product development and transfer teams to ensure that supply chain tasks are completed on time and issues are raised in a timely manner.
+ Set up and maintain master data across multiple planning and execution systems understanding connectivity between the systems
+ Develop working relationships with regional supply chain throughout world, cross-business partners and key functional areas to continue to build the organization.
+ Communicates with group/team, Contract Manufacturers, OEMs and management.
+ Provide information/data to support reporting of product availability, manufacturing performance, and SOP topics.
+ Ensure personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable.
+ Follow all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work.
+ Develop understanding of application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
+ Basic knowledge of industry practices.
+ Work is performed under general direction.
+ Participates in determining objectives of assignment.
+ Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.
+ Supports the organizations contracts or projects.
+ May interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:**


+ 2+ years of related Supply Chain Planning and/or Procurement experience with Bachelors degree.
+ At least 1 year of related Supply Chain Planning and/or Procurement experience with Masters degree.
+ Preferred - 2 years SAP system working experience, IT system structure work experience
+ Project Management experience
+ Experience working in a regulated environment
+ Basic understanding of Import/Export Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable training APICS and/or C.P.M.
