Description **Kelly Engineering** is currently recruiting for a **(Contract) (Technical Illustrator)** job located in **Charlotte, NC** . The Technical Illustrator creates and maintains illustrated parts lists of complex electromechanical equipment. The Technical Illustrator works with engineers to obtain CAD data from SolidWorks, and with the technical service and operations team to understand detail needed for troubleshooting and identification of replacement parts.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

• Create/modify illustrated parts list publications using SolidWorks and Adobe software tools.

• Update legacy parts list publications using AutoCAD and CorelDRAW

• Manage data files in adherence with PDM revision control guidelines (using PDMWorks Enterprise)

• Participate in the electronic literature approval workflow (using MasterControl)

• Identify and understand key principles of ECN implementation as it pertains to service documentation (e.g. superseding P/N, serial number breaks, effectivity dates)

**Qualifications:**


+ The Technical Illustrator must have the ability to create professional service manuals containing exploded view diagrams and parts lists with minimal supervision.
+ The candidate has technical proficiency with a variety of software tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator/InDesign, AutoCAD, CorelDRAW) and a basic knowledge of electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and terminology.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal are also required.
**Education and/or Experience:**


+ Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related technical field (e.g. engineering, drafting, illustration)
+ 2-5 yrs. related work experience preferred
