**Job Description:** Pharmaceutical Technical Sales Manager Job Description

The Technical Sales Manager (TSM) is responsible for managing existing client relationships and establishing new ones for locations, for our client, which is a CDMO dedicated to veterinary pharmaceuticals. The TSM will be responsible for identifying opportunities at existing key accounts, preparing and presenting proposals, and managing the ongoing client projects and relationships. The TSM is the primary point of contact for client projects and serves on the project teams along with subject matter experts. The TSM reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing located in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.


**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**

Identifies, prioritizes, and manages new business opportunities.

Develops and deliver proposals to clients. Works with internal SMEs to write proposals and quotes.

Works with technical personnel to prioritize product development activities and technical support needed to ensure consistency with strategy and budgeted business.

Collaborates with all functions of the business to ensure sufficient information and resources are utilized to meet customer needs while operating within budget.

Participate in and sometimes lead recurring project update meetings with customers and serve as point of contact for all customer inquiries and requests during the project.

Continued communication and coordination with customers, leading to follow-up business opportunities.

Maintains sales information, including call reports, pipeline management, and use of CRM systems.


**Education & Experience Required**

Bachelors degree, ideally in technical field.

Sales or Project Management experience with a pharmaceutical or life sciences CMO, CDMO, etc.

Language(s): English is required; French is a plus.


**Skills & Abilities**

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities.

Strong communication skills to internal stakeholders and customers.

Adaptability and ability to operate under pressure and tight timelines.

High degree of initiative and self-direction.

High level of computer fluency (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

Ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
