**Title:** Academic Sales Associate

Our client is a leader in the field of molecular pathology and tissue-based diagnostics. Their core technology is the worlds first multiplex fluorescent and chromogenic _in situ_ hybridization platform capable of detecting and quantifying RNA biomarkers _in situ_ at single molecule sensitivity. Our client's platform is an ideal platform for developing the next generation of tissue-based companion diagnostics. Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Associate. The Sales Associate role is to ensure achievement of territory sales objectives in line with our client's mission, to control, organize and direct sales activities through both strategic and tactical activities, and to provide regular reports on status of specific sales, the market and competitor activities. Our client is a fast- growing biotechnology corporation, leaving a need for a technical liaison to partner with the existing territory managers to call into existing accounts in a consistent manner to ensure:

Customers are satisfied with products and services.

Place next order or timeline to place next order.

Gain insight to funding, publications or others in the organization that the customer can refer to.

This information will be added into Salesforce to be used by territory managers and plan next steps within existing accounts.


+ Support assigned Account Executives in the field

+ Manage and generate new orders from existing accounts across the United States.

+ Establishing and maintaining communication with prospects & customers on company products and services.

+ Corresponding with customers via telephone, email or other means to take orders, solicit opinions, and provide information about new products and services.

+ Maintain CRM (SalesForce) records and complete reports.

+ Keep abreast of new developments in the field in order to provide competitive information to field.

+ Deliver sales presentations to prospects on the phone and online.

+ Provide feedback to Territory Manager via Salesforce as relates to existing account status (satisfaction, re-order status, funds, etc.).

+ Operate internal search engines and marketing tools to identify prospects and future customers.

+ Occasionally participates in symposium conferences to man booth and provide technical support.


+ B.S degree in molecular biology or related scientific disciplines.

+ Experience in public speaking

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ _Life Science Degree is required_

+ _Energetic, technically savvy (molecular biology), hunter-mentality, Team-player _

+ _Extensive commercial experience is preferred. _

+ _Experience in a selling environment is preferred. _

+ _Highly adaptable and independent. _

+ _Strong desire to win business and establish long-term customer relationships_

+ Strong familiarity with IHC, gene expression profiling or in situ hybridization-based technology products or other molecular biology knowledge.

+ Work remotely, out of a Home office in the U.S.

+ Experience with CRM such as

+ Experience with Microsoft Office software products
