Description **Kelly Engineering** is currently recruiting for a **(Contract) (Technical Support Representative)** job located in **Charlotte, NC** . The Technical Support Representative’s primary responsibility is to provide technical support to our dealer’s service technicians and our company’s sales personnel so that they can effectively install, operate, trouble shoot and repair dental/medical equipment. This role records all technical complaints from customer calls into an electronic database. This position is a conduit of technical communication between the company and the customer. The role requires extensive knowledge and comfort with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**


+ Acquires and maintains technical knowledge, skills and references, in all areas of the assigned products, to expertly install, operate, troubleshoot and repair the equipment
+ Provides guidance and answers to customers calling in requesting assistance in installation, operation, troubleshooting and repairing the assigned products
+ Acts as a resource for other departments to request technical information and assistance regarding the assigned products
+ Records all pertinent information received on product problems and complaints
+ Assists with the set-up of equipment at the major dental shows, if requested
+ Works on special projects as assigned
+ Performs other duties and assignments as requested to support the technical support function.
**Qualifications:**


+ The Technical Support Representative must be an independent worker, capable of operating in a fast-moving, and capable of evaluating accuracy of the information presented, technical ability of the caller, potential safety issues with the reported problem, all of the possible solutions and who are the responsible parties to solve the problem. The Tech Support Representative should have strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a customer–focused environment. This role requires a thorough knowledge of all assigned products, installation, operation, problem symptoms, troubleshooting and repair characteristics as well as the company’s operating procedures, systems and personnel.
+ A qualified candidate must have strong technical adeptness, but must also demonstrate an excellent ability to teach and coach a caller through issues.
**Education and/or Experience:**


+ Require Associates Degree or 4+ years equivalent experience in repairing mechanical systems
+ Require experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system troubleshooting
+ Prefer experience with distribution and/or business to business operating environment
+ Prefer experience with computer, telephone, and other productivity and customer focused technology
