Description **Scientific Affairs Coordinator (THIS IS A TEMPORARY 6 MONTH POSITION) SALARY $28.85 PER HOUR**

We are looking for someone to coordinate the activities of the Scientific Affairs Committees (conference calls, write meeting minutes, circulate documents, and other administrative tasks assigned by the Scientific Affairs Director or Scientific Affairs Project Manager)


+ Organize the Science Department network drive to include folders for all committees, projects and pertinent documents. Help to develop an organization system for house committee documents.
+ Field requests for scientific publication reprints and translations as well as any requests for permissions.
+ Field requests for staging MOU/DUA signatures and follow the documents from initiation thru execution and archiving.
**Specific Projects with associated timelines:**

+ Working with the Scientific Affairs Director, Scientific Affairs Project Manager, and other scientific experts, create a document to include the molecular data elements. This document will serve as a guide for data managers when entering molecular features into the lung cancer TNM staging system database (Time line 1-2 months)
+ Working with the Scientific Affairs Project Manager, coordinate the scheduling of conference calls with organizations participating in the molecular database staging project. (Timeline 1-2 months)
+ Working with the Scientific Affairs Project manager, assist in the development of a comprehensive drop box filing system and sync it to the Scientific Affairs Z drive. Collect numerous documents, create additional folders and grant permissions. (Timeline 1-2 months)
+ Under the direction and with the assistance from the Scientific Affairs Director and Scientific Affairs Project Manager redevelop scientific webpages, create a Scientifc Affairs webpage and create scientific content relevant to high impact projects and scientific committees (Timeline -3-6 months)

Bachelor of Science, MS or PhD in Biological Science (Molecular Science, Microbiology, Immunology or Neurology). **You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in either research or scientific affairs** . Experience in cancer and particularly lung cancer is preferred. Experience editing scientific manuscripts, abstracts and presentations is required. Scientific writing experience and Website a plus
