As a Terminal Manager you will follow all corporate guidelines, work closely with the Safety Manager along with the Fleet Operations. You will be responsible for the area from Fredericksburg, Virginia through northern Virginia and Maryland. You will travel to all terminal locations to supervise drivers as the need arises.

You will also be responsible to manage the Maintenance and Dispatch associated with the driver-s and equipment for this territory and customer-s.


- As the qualified Terminal Manager, you will be expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment, with routine supervision. You will supervise relationships with local vendors and your respective driver-s. Previous management experience is required

- You will supervise, hire, train, evaluate and motive a team of petroleum drivers, manage the day-to-day activities of Company drivers.

- You will review driver-s logs, hours of service and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations

- Coordinate, schedule and communicate information to the drivers throughout the Northern Virginia area

- Make deliveries, if customer demands arise

- Move equipment

- Organize and track information according to customer demands

- Visit potential and current customers when needed

- Supervise clerk, mechanic & drivers and approve time sheets.

- Strong leadership and teamwork skills

- Communicate with vendors, prepare quotes, estimates and approve invoices

- Proven experience in P&L understanding and management

- Promote future development of company by attending safety, VA Trucking Association and trade show meetings.


- Excellent ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, in English

- Fast and accurate data collection in a high volume, fast paced environment.

- Operate a computer for most of the workday in a Windows based environment and other office equipment.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks along with problem solving and organizational skills.

- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact well with individuals at all levels

- Exceptional knowledge of Safety and Environmental Regulations

- Must have previous petroleum business knowledge

- Ability to work weekends, if requested

- Ability to travel when required with flexibility
