**This is a 12-month Contract opportunity!**


**Hours per week: 40+**


**Summary**


This Engineering Project Manager I will work under R&D leadership to lead the EU MDR remediation project(s) for the Advanced Surgery Global Business Unit product portfolio to support EU registrations through the relevant notified bodies for maintenance and MDR submissions.


**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**


+ Designs, develops, and validates electromechanical product test tools of intermediate complexity. These tools may include standard test methods, hardware fixtures, manual and automated electromechanical testing equipment, and data acquisition, data analysis, control, and reporting software.

+ Demonstrates test method repeatability and reproducibility through GRR, MSA, and other analytical techniques.

+ Plans and leads limited-scope system, hardware, and disposables test development and product verification efforts.

+ Prepares documentation for test development and product verification activities including plans, specifications, drawings, design descriptions, protocols, and reports.

+ Performs assignments independently with limited supervision as to expected results.

+ Supports product test execution activities and reports test anomalies for triage by the design team. Performs root cause investigation and participates in corrective actions.

+ Analyzes technical data using appropriate statistical techniques and communicates outcomes through clear, concise reporting.

+ Accurately predicts project effort and duration and keeps stakeholders up to date with status.

+ Recommends improvements to the organizational test and verification SOPs and tools.

+ May coach and develop entry-level engineers and interns.


**Education / Experience**


+ Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.

+ 25 years of experience or 12 years of experience with an advanced degree.

+ Experience designing and developing manual or automated electromechanical tests and testing systems.

+ Experience validating test methods, qualifying test systems, and validating test software.

+ Experience supporting product test and verification activities.

+ Experience supporting safety-critical product development in a regulated preferred.

+ Intermediate technical problem solving and analytical ability.

+ Works accurately with attention to detail.

+ Focused on timely results with good time management skills.

+ Communicates clearly verbally and in writing.

+ Works effectively both independently and as a team member.

+ Ability to exercise judgement in making moderate complexity engineering decisions.
