**Tool Room Attendant/Presetter**

**Hours:** 5pm 130am (Monday Friday, with occasional required OT)

**Pay:** $14.61 with $1 shift differential and performance raises every 3 months for your first 15 months on the job.

**Includes Excellent benefit package after 30 days!!**


Inspects, tests, and adjusts new and reworked tools for conformance to blueprint specifications such as dimensions and tolerances by performing the following duties:

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

+ Assembles, disassembles, clean, inspect, reassemble various tooling holders such as: tool holders, milling holders, mills, collets, mill heads, setscrews, cam-locks, etc.

+ Sets and/or adjusts tooling according to blueprint or preset specifications

+ Uses various measuring equipment such as indicators, calipers, gage blocks, height gage, comparators, etc. to ensure proper tooling adjustment.

+ Assists engineering in new line set up for tools.

+ Assists operators on production lines.

+ Performs 5-S and cleanup activities as needed, and at designated times.

+ Ensures that team standards are being followed, and productivity and quality goals met.

+ Keeps team leaders and supervisors informed of problems within the area.

+ Participates in improvement activities.

+ Works overtime on a daily and/or weekend basis based off the needs of the company.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


+ Must be able to function in a team environment by working with and cooperating with others.

+ Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision for working in and around moving machinery and parts; depth perception; close vision for reading blueprints and grinding small work surfaces; and ability to adjust focus when grinding to small tolerances.
