Description and Requirements

The Translation Content Specialist, Global Language Services is responsible for developing and managing a translation asset library. This includes paper translations of global clinical assessments, eCOA and ePRO implemented assets and platform core text. The Translation Content Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining translation memories and creating/updating process documentation.

Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Information Science, or related field


  • 1 years experience developing and maintaining databases and creating documentation 
  • Experience in creating process documentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to utilize technology and tools to enhance database organization and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, strong initiative and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different functions and all levels of the organization.
  • Clear and concise in verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple databases and projects, and interact with related departments.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project and the ability to produce detailed reports and presentations using these tools.
  • Experience developing and maintaining large global databases of clinical assessments and/or translated assets.
  • Experience in developing and managing translation memories, clinical glossaries, and term bases.
  • Experience using a variety of database tools. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. 

  • Develop and maintain a database of translated assets, memories, and glossaries.
  • Work with project managers and scientific team to create and maintain project, assessment, or client specific terminology and translation memories.
  • Manage eCOA and ePRO core text translations projects and updates.
  • Liaise with DevOps department to keep track of eCOA and ePRO implemented content.
  • Serve as translation library owner and act as point of contact between internal teams and departments.
  • Produce reports of inventory as needed.
  • Ensure data integrity by eliminating duplicate or unreliable records.
  • Understand translation processes and maintain and update, as necessary.
  • Work closely with Management and Compliance to create new (and manage existing) templates for items such as (COTs, Footers, Linguist Instructions, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.


Reports to Translation Director; no supervisory responsibility.
