Job Title: **Drivetrain Evaluation Technician**

Job Location: **Ann Arbor, MI**

1st Shift

**Job Description:**

+ Teardown, build up, inspect and modify internal parts of automatic and hybrid transmission

+ Install, remove and repair hybrid units & automatic transmissions/engines in vehicles & dyno cells

+ Support testing in Transmission/Hybrid Dynamometer test cells including data collection

+ Data Acquisition and instrumentation set-up/operation in vehicles & dyno test cells

+ Internal and external transmission parts measurements and pictures w/ report

+ Preparation of Noise and Vibration, Strength, and Telemetry equipment along with this testing

+ Shift rotations at a minimum of 2 months to support 24-hour durability testing and training

+ Travel at less than 5% per year and overtime at 20% per year with possible trip to Japan


+ Associates Degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent experience (Transmission ASE cert is a plus)

+ Minimum 2-Year working level experience with Transmission Dynamometer Test Cells

+ Strong engine/transmission repair & electrical background with Hybrid Powertrains a plus

+ Strong evaluation & problem-solving skills

+ Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and any shift for a 24-hour testing environment

+ Measurement Equipment experience

+ Proficient experience with Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Office

+ Proficiency in reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and other technical data

+ Proficient in using measuring tools (i.e. Vernier calipers, Micrometers, Dial Indicators, etc.)

+ Works well independently without supervision

+ Flexible work hours and ability to work overtime including weekends

+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, pull/push, lift up to 60 pounds

+ Welding and Fabrication experience to modify measurement set-up fixtures
