**SUMMARY**

The User Experience Designer (UX Designer) is responsible for delivering the experience and creative execution for their respective projects and products. They will need to build strong relationships with product management peers, development and other critical partners to establish and deliver on the business and customer requirements that enhances our digital experiences and products, meets the business goals and strengthens our differentiation strategies. Reporting to the Director of Digital Design, the UX Designer will be responsible for their large scale, cross-functional projects, relevant research, user experience strategy and final creative including page layouts and asset production. You will work with the team to successfully translate business objectives into innovative and best-in-class, customer-centric solutions.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

• With a solid understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, you will design and support the development of numerous websites and landing pages in support of brand and digital marketing strategies.

• Assist leadership in defining cross-business unit workflows and responsibilities.

• Assist leadership in cost/timing analysis associated with a wide range of projects.

• Lead SEQ strategy and execution efforts by optimizing both on-site and external content.

• Audit site performance via Google Analytics and develop A/B testing strategies for ongoing site optimization.

• Mentor and coach designers in web design best practices, standards, limitations and usability.

• Research products/tools to increase efficiency and capabilities.

• Conceptualizes and executes designs solutions for web sites (responsive), banners, and emails, coupons, and social media that drive engagement, conversion, and retention.

• Collaborates with other members of the creative, account, marketing, and development teams to deliver creative web solutions for assigned Business Unit clients.

• Delivers innovative approaches to increase brand awareness and apply consistent brand visuals and creative designs.

• Manages multiple projects that span across a diverse collection of brands.

• Supports the business with identifying and clarifying goals and requirements.

• Translates and extends the product equities, look/feel, brand identity, and style guidelines.

• Develops designs for ongoing site updates as well as promotional and social media graphics.

• Maintains an understanding of web design and development life cycles including issues, risks and scope management.

• Identifies the limitations of digital platforms and preferred ways to optimize content.

• Supports overall efforts of the digital creative team; collaboratively executes innovative creative projects through solid brand strategy.

• Ensures projects are completed within prescribed timelines and parameters.

• Contributes creative concepts as well as evaluate concepts developed by other team members.

• Ensures that high quality creative projects are delivered with a strong attention to detail, brand equity, and usability/accessibility.

• Studies the digital marketplace; stay current with trends and innovation in the digital space to include social media, web, email and other emerging technologies.

• Prepares and presents web design presentations including site maps, wireframes, design comps, prototypes, and test sites.

• Plans digital artwork for assigned projects; provides clear instructions and prepare final layouts for launch in a clean and organized file format.

• Manages project organization and archive for all assignments.

• Collects, reads, interprets and uses related reference documented client briefs to deliver innovative creative with solid brand strategy.

• Designs and implement the static portion of a digital execution; partner with the IT team during launch.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

• 6 years of web design/development

• Skilled in the use of the Apple platform, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop at an advanced level; Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office suite at a basic level.

• Skilled in the design and development of web sites, mobile sites, social media, HTML emails, and banner ads.

• Skilled in concept development, web design, typography, user interface design and usability best practices.

• Required to work extended hours when necessary to support the design team in meeting

deadlines.

Understanding and or experience working within Drupal (CMS)

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

• Knowledge of current Internet standards, including web browsers and browser specifications, screen resolution, and file optimization

• Working knowledge of SEO, and Social Media best practices

• Skilled in the use of JavaScript technologies

• Experience working within current brand constraints as well as create new compelling brand experiences

• Knowledge of fundamental visual design: typography, iconography, composition, color, and layout.

• Working knowledge of experience design tools Adobe CC, Webflow, Balsamiq,

• Experience thinking conceptually and strategically while executing in great detail

• Experience contributing to design brainstorming and work sessions.

• Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of the various web technologies as they relate to UX development.

• Additional knowledge and experience with related technologies such as AJAX, jQuery, and XSLT are excellent.

• Knowledge of user-centered design best practices; experience-funneling user needs into engaging designs.

• Experience bringing original ideas and fresh approaches to projects and be able to sell your ideas to team members and stakeholders.

• Experience thriving in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects and deadlines.

• Skilled in balancing business goals and user needs.

• Experience delivering quality work on tight deadlines.

• Demonstrated use of accepted industry standards and procedures. Experience engaging in work with business users at all levels.

• Skilled in managing multiple projects and priorities.

• Articulates creative concepts and communicates rationale for team and client

• Engages in creative problem solving, strategic brainstorming sessions, and creative execution.
