**Vehicle Engineer - Electric Drive Systems**


+ **(Senior Electrification Application Engineer)**

+ **_** Onsite/Hybrid Position_** _- Worker will need to be local to the Morrisville Engineering lab and John Deere Cary sites.**_


**Core Function:**


+ Focused on the design and the development of the electric drive systems

+ This position does not involve detailed component development


**Key Focus:**


+ Requirement definition

+ Picking and selecting the set of components - putting them into the system to meet those requirements

+ 3+ years of technical experience relating to the design of the electrical drive systems = (Knowing how to put all the pieces together in a system = motor, electronics, the battery, the software)

+ Design electrical drive system in a production environment these are intended to be products that are sold to their customers - rigorous process system requirements

+ System design is a combination of the motors, electronics, batteries, and software

+ It would be the analysis and simulation, physical vehicles, and labs as a piece/part of the role (25% of role)

+ Vehicle Integration: Taking the components and physically installing/integrating them onto a John Deere tractor
