**VP, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs**


**Overview** Globa **l** industry leading health supplement company is experiencing double digit organic growth! This position has been created due to company growth! We are seeking a motivated and strong VP, Scientific and Regulatory Affairs for our greater Sarasota, FL area site. The ideal candidate will have specific experience in health supplements, vitamins, or functional foods.


**Responsibilities may includ** e:


+ Develop, implement and manage quality and regulatory systems. Supervises Quality and Laboratory personnel and manages QA operations to support GMP manufacturing, testing and release of finished product under FDA regulations and internal procedures.

+ Maintain research records and documents pertaining to formulations and products Evaluate regulatory issues.

+ Develop and work with employees to implement quality process controls relating to all areas of operation including quality, production, packaging and labeling systems.

+ Prepare and update quality documentation including company SOP s; coordinate and assist in writing and updating company policies, procedures and SOP s related to cGMP s.

+ Manage internal audit program, conduct supplier/vendor audits and oversee third party audits, managing the process from start to finish Perform company-wide annual cGMP training and quality department training Provide guidance, interpretation, support, training and input on the interpretation and implementation of regulations, guidelines, company procedures and policies.

+ Oversee all Quality Department functions and operations.

+ Oversee internal laboratory, provide guidance for QC laboratory operations Responsible for maintaining traceability for products and for conducting root cause analyses for incidents.

+ Develop and maintain positive working relationship with company suppliers and vendors.

+ Collaborate with Director of Scientific Affairs. Review company marketing materials and labels for compliance with FDA, DSHEA and FTC regulations.

+ Designated as FSMA PCQI Food Safety Modernization Act Preventative Controls Qualified Individual New products: Claim substantiation, testing, FDA and regulatory compliance.


**Qualifications** :


+ Legally authorized to work in the job posting Country.

+ B.S. in a Scientific or related discipline.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as determination of test reliability and validity, and analysis of variance.

+ Clear understanding of cGMP and other regulations as necessary to accomplish daily tasks.


**Work Environment**


+ Ability to sit/stand for more than four hours

+ Ability to perform the following physical activities: sitting, standing, walking, and occasionally climbing ladders.

+ Ability to move or lift up to 45lbs.


**Travel:** 10% U.S. travel to other company site.
