**Job Title: Vivarium** **Research Associate**

**Pay: $40 per hour**

**Position Summary** :
-Perform brain dissections, survival surgery, video and EEG monitoring, and analysis of seizures in rodents.
-Formulate drugs, dose small rodents (mice/rats), conduct behavior tests and serial sample collections of tissues for biomarker and PK/PD analysis.
-Maintain the operation of the in vivo lab according to established standards and compliances.
-Perform general lab support duties such as preparation of solutions, cleaning and maintaining lab equipment

**Background in Neuroscience/Neuropharmacology research a MUST**
**Animals mice and rats dosing behavior surgery electrophysiology experience a MUST**

Physical Demands:
-Carrying, handling and reaching for objects up to 25 lbs.
-Able to work in a lab environment
-Exposure to hazardous and toxic chemicals
-Potential exposure to rodent allergens

Key Words:
Surgery rats and mice
EEG site study
Survival surgery
Dosing surgery
Neuroscience, Pharmacology or related field/education
Highly competent in animal handling, dosing compounds to animals, tissue collection and familiarity with CNS biology
