**Kelly Technology has an opening for a Voice Engineer to work with our client In Minneapolis, MN**

**Duration: 6+ months (+ extensions)**


Within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), we currently seek a Voice Engineer to support the conversion of a traditional PBX to a VOIP solution, as well as operational duties. The individual in this role serves as a technical expert in all manner of voice technologies, providing technical support for advanced troubleshooting, request fulfillment, solution implementation, and alignment with architecture standards. The engineer works closely with the voice architect, product owner, internal stakeholders, and University Information Security (UIS) to fulfill short and long-term priorities for voice services.


+ Works with service owner, product manager, and voice architect to plan and execute the transition of services from TDM to VOIP

+ Supports service owner, product manager, and voice architect with the transition and operation of the voice service offering - including switches, handsets, soft-clients, voicemail, and call centers

+ Develops procedures and documentation related to the transition and operation of voice services

+ Assists with the creation and drives the use of standards for voice services

+ Works with telecommunications vendors and carriers to plan, execute, and troubleshoot voice services

+ Works with product owner and architect to establish and refine voice service request processes based on internal stakeholder needs (moves/adds/changes, call routing, call center configuration, etc.)

+ Provides technical guidance, coaching, and knowledge curation for junior voice engineers and operations teams

+ Leads troubleshooting and service restoration efforts as part of the incident and major incident management processes. Serves as an escalation point for complex problems

+ Works with voice architect and vendor to plan for life cycle management of the voice platform including enhancements, upgrades, and integrations

+ Experience with TDM/PRI and SIP transports

+ Utilizes ITIL processes of incident, change, problem, knowledge, and request management as the framework for conducting work.

+ Executes operational readiness best practices and partners with operations teams to ensure support for the deployment of new voice services

+ Uses Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and agile processes to perform scheduled work.


+ Bachelors degree and 3 years of experience OR a comparable combination of education and experience.

+ Experience with advanced call center engineering and computer-telephony-integration (CTI)

+ Experience designing and implementing large scale voice solutions and migrations.

+ Experience with one or more cloud-based PBX solutions

+ Demonstrated expertise in network traffic analysis using Wireshark or other protocol analyzers

+ Experience adhering to compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI)

+ Proven track-record of creation of training materials and of training technical staff and end users
